Cycling in the lands of Venice
Discover the Veneto region by bike and you’ll be in awe of the incredibly varied territory, with routes suitable for all fitness levels. On two wheels, you’ll explore art treasure chests, medieval villages, rolling hills, and natural parks as you pedal along lakes and rivers. Each stage offers an unforgettable experience; from the timeless beauty of Venice and the lush greenery of the Euganean Hills and Lake Garda. Need a break? A sip of the local wines and a taste of the authentic cuisine of the North are no-brainers. Impossible not to fall in love.
Routes between lakes, rivers, and the sea
There’s no way around it and we wouldn’t have it any other way: water’s all around you in Italy, whether in the form of a lake, a river, or the sea. Italy’s biggest lake – Lake Garda – boasts jaw-dropping scenery and countless delicious recipes. Of course, there’s Venice right by the Adriatic, from where our tour will take you all the way to Poreč, a charming port city in Croatia. Finally, the Brenta river, with its many Palladian villas, the Po, and the Mincio trace an itinerary between forgotten villages and wild nature.
Organized bike tours
Simply hop on your bike and we’ll take care of the rest! We’ll book comfortable hotels and guesthouses, transport your luggage, and provide you with rental bikes, an app with maps, a roadbook, points of interest, GPS tracks, and a seven-day-a-week support service. Venice and surroundings
There’s more to Venice than the historic center. Though mesmerizing, it’d be a shame not to explore the many vineyards, waterways, art cities, and small villages surrounding this beautiful city. Get pedaling in search of the next nearby wonders, such as Vicenza, Bassano del Grappa, and Treviso. Along the northern coast of the Adriatic Sea, you’ll soon discover the Croatian port city Poreč is worth your while too!
Lake Garda
Starting in the small town of Peschiera del Garda, this bike tour takes you from the beautiful Lake Garda to the outskirts of Venice. Along the way, you’ll encounter wonderful art cities, such as Verona and Vicenza, and the green Euganean Hills near Padua.
From Mantua to Venice
This bike and boat route takes you on a fascinating journey from Mantua to Venice. Follow the course of two important Italian rivers – the Mincio and the Po – and discover off-the-beaten-track villages, by the Po Delta and the Venice Lagoon, where slow living still reigns.
For families (2 tours)
Our bike routes in the Veneto region are perfect for a family trip. You’ll be amazed by the numerous bike paths Galzignano Terme – home to one of Europe’s largest spa resorts – has to offer. Later down the road, you’ll get a chance to pedal around Lake Garda, among medieval castles, villages picked right out of a fairytale, and stunning evergreen parks.
For over twenty years we have been testing frames, gears, saddles, components, and accessories to assemble the perfect cycling bike. Pick the bike type that suits you best, hop on at the starting point, and return it at the end of the last cycling stage. From touring bikes to electric bikes, road bikes, children’s and family bikes, tandems, and accessories: our mechanics know your bike down to the last bolt and are happy to assemble and continuously service it for you. Girolibero bike rentals include theft insurance and irreparable damage. Learn more about our Girolibero bikes.
