The sailing ship Mare fan Fryslân was built in 1960 as a freight ship. It was completely renovated in 2006 and since 2007 it has been used as a beautiful, three-mast schooner on Dutch waters, sailing the Frisian Sea.

Beds

12 twin cabins of about 9 sq. meters, with two single beds that can be joined
1 junior suite of about 11 sq. meters, with two single beds that can be joined and a sitting area with TV
1 single cabin of 6 sq. meters

In all the two-bed cabins a third bed (bunk-bed) can be arranged.

Restaurant and lounge area

Breakfasts and dinners are served in the cozy dining room, located on the lower deck.

The restaurant and lounge area is equipped with air conditioning.

Sundeck

On the large sundeck you can enjoy sailing and spend relaxing moments at the open-air bar or even in the Jacuzzi! The bicycles are stored in a separate part of the sundeck.

Food and beverages

Onboard kitchen

Breakfasts, packed lunches and dinners are normally provided. The kitchen offers international cuisine.

Drinks are always extra and have to be paid separately. On board only cash payments (€) are accepted.

Bike and barge

A vacation by the sea, where you cycle during the day and stay overnight in the floating hotel that follows cyclists stage by stage.

The cabin will be yours for the whole week, so you don’t have to pack and unpack. And if one day you don’t feel like cycling…you can stay on board and enjoy the sailing!
